Dear parents and carers
As the Autumn term comes to an end, school is a very different place to what it normally would be. No carols are playing in the school office, there have been no visits from Santa and no pantomime dames have been seen dancing and singing around school. However, two things that haven’t changed are the smiles on the faces of the children as they come into school and the commitment of the staff to support and educate your children and keep them as safe as possible.
It has been great to see so many children engaging with our online learning and I know both staff and children are enjoying our live lessons. We would remind you of the importance of ensuring your children are following our live teaching policy linked to online learning. This is available on the school website.
The PTFA have kindly organised and funded an online pantomime for the children to watch at school and home. We are also hoping to share with you a you tube link of some Christmas songs and drama performed by the classes who have been in school. Unfortunately, due to the self-isolating of classes, not all classes got the chance to record their performance to be shared with you.
Although some Christmas parties have taken place this week, we know that many children have missed out on theirs. We will therefore organise New Year parties for all classes in January. More information will be sent out after Christmas.
It has been a difficult term for all of us and the last couple of weeks are certainly not what we hoped for. The staff and I are greatly indebted to the support and good wishes we have received from both parents and governors. We look forward to welcoming you all back in January.
