The children learned all about Shrove Tuesday and Lent. They then had a super day making pancakes. The discussed the changes that they observed, watching the batter turn from a liquid into a solid, while the pancakes were cooking. The children then chose a topping and ate the pancakes at the pancake cafe. They were delicious! The children had lots of fun outside and had pancake races tossing real pancakes in the air and catching them.
During Literacy this week, the children learned a Pancake Poem and wrote part of the poem from memory.
