Safer Internet Day 2021: Information for Parents and Carers

Today (9.2.21) is Safer Internet Day, and this year it seems more important than ever as our children spend more time online due to the coronavirus pandemic. Your children (whether at home or school) will take part in a range of activities this week on this year’s theme, which is

‘An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world’

We would usually invite parents into school for an online safety workshop on Safer Internet Day. As we are unable to do this this year, I have created a video highlighting some key issues and advice, as well as how parents can help to keep their children safe online. The internet offers amazing opportunities to our children, but we must always make sure we remain aware of the dangers, too.
