Growth Mindset and Well-being

Since our full return to school on 8th March, all of our classes have been focussed on supporting the children’s mental health and well-being. We have conducted pupil well-being surveys, spent lots of time in class discussing and doing work around our mental well-being and sharing stories to help children to understand what poor mental health can be like. Our extra PE sessions and daily mile have also helped to support this, as we promote the link between mental and physical well-being.

We have also been working on promoting growth mindset among our pupils. Growth mindset encourages self belief in our children, and supports them to be resilient and overcome challenges. All of our classes have taken part in activities to relaunch growth mindset across school, and this will become something we encourage every day. The photos below show children from across the school developing resilience and learning about growth mindset.
