Fruit tasting in the Dragonflies

The children have had another super week, this time exploring fruit through the story of Oliver’s Fruit Salad By Vivian French. They loved the story and could share their own experiences of growing fruit, naming fruit and sharing lots knowledge about where fruit grows. The children helped make a class shopping list of fruit for the tasting session. They then made their own shopping lists.

On Thursday, they had a great morning chopping up the fruit before having a tasting session with Miss Hawdon. The children were very keen to try both new and familiar fruit. There were lots of discussions about likes and dislikes. The children then carried out a survey, they used a tally chart method to collect data to find out their friends favourite fruit.
