Last week in school we had Olympics week to celebrate the upcoming Olympic games due to start in Tokyo this week! The children kicked off the week with a whole school workout. Children across the school engaged in a Hiit workout designed for primary age children and had a lot of fun getting their hearts racing. Throughout the week children learned more about different past Olympic games and famous Olympians. In KS1, they focused on Mo Farah learning about his story and many achievements. In LKS2, they looked at the fantastic Simone Biles and enjoyed watching videos of her competing at the last Olympics. In UKS2 they focused on Olympic values and learned about the Brownlee brothers who demonstrated brilliant Olympic values in a world championship race.
Children across the school enjoyed learning about famous Olympians and watching footage of some fantastic sport!
