Year 5 started their Music topic this week and have been introduced to the importance of sound effects. Children began by watching some video clips of movies where sound effects have been used effectively to create mood and add detail to the storyline. Children then had a go at discussing which instruments they could hear and what action they would be good at displaying. Finally, children designed their own story (using a storyboard) and then added their sound effects alongside using a range of instruments.
