This half term, in PE, children in year 5 and 6 have been developing their skills in netball. The children begun by learning a range of different passes- chest pass, bounce pass and overhead pass and also looking at the correct way to stop and pivot in netball. When they had developed their passing, we then started to look at incorporating a defender. The last couple of weeks children have ended the lesson with a mini game, where they have learnt the different positions and roles in a team. At the end of the term the children will have an in class mini netball competition in teams.
