A warm welcome back to our old friends and to our new ones!
We have been focusing on the story, Penguin and Pinecone which is a wonderful story about friendship and the contrast between Winter and Summer weather. Thinking about the story, we have worked on being good friends as well as discussing the different climates featured within the book. We also retold the book beautifully using some props. We started painting and drawing the characters from the story which will be displayed on the wall when we have finished.
We had great fun today outside using a parachute and exploring our school grounds. We discovered a small patch of frost on the grass during our exploration. We experimented with it by holding some blades of grass in our hands and watching the frost melt. We discovered that when we first picked up the frosted grass it was hard and then when it melted it felt softer and it was wet.
