We have continued our plant topic this week. We finished off making some plant collages to show the structure of a plant which have been displayed in nursery and look fabulous. We made some fantastic edible plant collages using a range of salad and fruit. It was wonderful to observe some of the children trying food that they hadn’t tried before. For our maths session this week, we worked on preposition and used News Ted to sit beside, under, in front, on top, behind and in a bag to help us. We had great fun in phonics making, ‘rhyming soup’. We sang a song about cooking silly soup in the fridge, which made us laugh and added a pair of rhyming items into a pan/dish while we took turns stiring it. We also participated in Squiggle While You Wiggle and we made our own play dough. During our outdoor Friday session we made plant collages using our large construction equipment.
