We have had a super busy week! We started our new topic this week which focuses on plants. We read the book, A Seed in Need which informed us about what a seed and plant need to grow. We learned the names of the different parts of a plant and some of us made a collage to represent this. During our maths sessions, we focused on tall and short and used cubes to measure a variety of plants. We also made some plant pictures using PurpleMash on the computer. On Shrove Tuesday, we read Mr Wolf’s Pancakes and made our own pancakes. We had a fabulous day on World Book Day, dressed as book characters and we shared lots of books as well as designing our own bookmarks. During our outdoor session we walked to our ‘top field’ and examined plants, playing particular attention to the stems and leaves.
