Red Nose Day and much more!

This week we have focused on the story, The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle. During Maths we carefully printed some petals onto a numbered flower head using paint and our fingers. Some of us even drew some roots at the bottom of the flower’s stem. We make some excellent collages of flowers and plants using a variety of materials. We also played a number and subitising game, rolling a dice and finding the corresponding pattern and number. We focused on rhyming words in phonics by sharing the story, The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. During Squiggle While You Wiggle, we produced square shapes. We produced some watering can pictures on the computer after a discussion about how important it is for a plant to have water.

To show our support for Red Nose Day, we talked about why we have Red Nose Day and how the money that we donated could help other children and families. We also designed  our own red nose characters.
