Toy Car Science in LKS2

Lower Key Stage 2 have been examining forces in science and conducted an investigation to examine whether friction differed between surfaces. To test this, children pushed a toy car along three different surfaces (table, carpet, tarmac) to examine if the friction differed by slowing down the car at different rates.

Children found that the table created the least friction when interacting with the car, because of the smooth surface, whilst the carpet demonstrated the most friction when opposing the car.
