A warm welcome to our new friends in nursery. We are super proud of how well they have settled. We have focused on a book called Seasons Go, Seasons Go, Trees this week. As the title suggests, the story describes how trees change depending on the season. We chose a season, talked about it and it’s typical weather and painted a picture to represent it. We made some edible tree collages using bread, Twiglets and a variety of fruit and salad. In maths we thought about how to represent numbers in different ways. We produced some seasonal trees on the computer and some of us went to the printer to collect the pictures. During phonics we talked about our senses and focused on hearing. We guessed what was inside of some socks by shaking them and listening to the different sounds that they made. During our outdoor session, we planted some potatoes to take part in World Hunger Week.
