This week, our boys’ Year 5/6 footballers travelled to Glynwood for two matches in the Tyne View League.
In very windy conditions, the team battled well and never gave up. We started with an excellent 9-0 victory, with superb goals, solid defending and strong teamwork.
At half time in our second game, with the score standing at us 2-1 down, we had to switch to playing against the wind. Alas, this proved difficult and we ended up conceding another 4; however, the boys still pushed on and created some good chance to score a second.
The Nookers finished the afternoon all smiles and happy with how they’d played. They should be proud of their efforts, fair play and amazing team spirit.
