This week, we have focussed on the story of Stick Man. Some of us produced some fabulous Stick Man collages, which we will finish next week. We discussed the fact that the sticks that we used to create our stick men used to be part of a tree. We created Stick Man using a paint program on the computer, drawings of Stick Man as well as paintings. We even created a giant Stick Man outdoors using our large construction materials during our Friday outdoors session. During maths, we used balance scales to compare the weights of items from our classroom. We discovered that the heavier items went down and the lighter ones went up. During phonics, we focussed on the rhyming words which are included in the Stick Man book. Some of us are becoming experts at recognising them!
