Not a Stick Continued…

Following on from last week, and our focus story, Not a Stick, we have used our imaginations again to complete some more pictures using a stick to represent an object. We thought of some fantastic ideas which included using a stick for a nose, a broomstick,a  sword, flower stems and arms. We made some repeating patterns during our maths sessions with long and short sticks. During phonics, we pretended that we were in a band and used sticks as musical instruments. We took it in turn to be the band master and instruct everyone when to start and when to stop by holding our stick baton in the air or down towards the ground. We made our own play dough to use throughout the week. This week for Squiggle While You Wiggle we made swirls outside using chalk and large movements with our arms. As we enjoyed making our own mud so much paint last Friday, we made some more today during our outdoor session. We have had another super week!
