This half term in Tulips, our topic has been rainforests. In science and geography lessons, the children have been learning about rainforests and the plants, animals and people that live there. They have conducted research about the dangers of deforestation and learned ways in which they can help to prevent it. In our English lessons, the children have focused on the Amazon Rainforest and produced excellent reports explaining what rainforests are, where the Amazon is, the climate of the Amazon, the dangers of deforestation and the plants, animals and people that live there. On our visit to the winter gardens, the children were able to see some plants from rainforests and learn more about the animals that live there. below are some images of the children’s work from the last 5 weeks.
