Road Safety Day 2022

Windy Nook celebrated Road Safety Day by taking part in various activities that raised awareness of how to be safe when in or around vehicles. Classes took part in practical activities that looked at how a seatbelt/helmet works; the importance of crossings and why hi-vis clothing is important. Children watched videos and adverts highlighting the importance of keeping safe near roads and took part in scenario-based activities to explore it. Some of the older children investigated stopping distances and learnt how this affects us as pedestrians. We’re all now experts at the green cross code!
