This week is National Storytelling Week. It is a chance to celebrate the integral role that stories play in our lives, particularly when we are children.
The week began with a virtual author visit from Wendy Shearer. As an author of three books, Wendy talked to the children about her storytelling ideas, her favourite folk tales and her African-Caribbean heritage.
We also loved to see children bringing their favourite books from home and reading them in school. The classes have recognised the value of stories even further by creating book reviews on Purple Mash.
