Yesterday, Fanuel visited us again to teach us more rhythms on the African drum, the djembe. We learnt to play a call and response rhythm as well as revising what we had learned last week, before moving on to our most complex rhythm yet! We also learned to sing ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley as well as playing games to improve our thinking and listening skills. We really enjoyed this fantastic opportunity to learn not only how to play a new instrument, but also to learn about Fanuel and the culture of Zimbabwe.
