This week, we have been studying poems written by Benjamin Zephaniah. The children have responded to his different poems by drawing pictures and writing their thoughts. They have then written their own poem inspired by his poem The British. Their poems focussed on what makes windy Nook an excellent school. To finish their week of learning the children recited sections of Zephaniah’s poem Clever Trevor. The children loved learning the poem and made up actions to help them learn the words. The children then recited the poem in class.
