As part of our ‘Habitats’ topic in science, we have been looking at a range of animals, plants and objects. We have been comparing the difference between things that are alive, have been alive and have never been alive.
Last week, we visited the school pond. Prior to our visit, we predicted what we might see/ find at the pond. We recorded these predictions before leaving the classroom. At the pond we started by listening carefully. The first thing we heard was the sound of birds. We used the pond dipping equipment to explore the animals and plants living in the pond habitat. We kept a tally chart of the things we found and collated this information in a tally chart.
