This week nursery, our focus has been growing and plants. We read the story, Titch and re-enacted the main parts using props. For maths, we used cubes to measure the heights of all of the plants in our classroom. We discovered that Kelly (one of our plants) was the tallest and measured thirty four cubes. We also used some balance scales to weigh items from our classroom. We discussed which were heavy and which were light. Some of us produced some short and tall plant pictures on the computer using PurpleMash. We participated in Squiggle While You Wiggle and made spiral marks and movements. We made the most of the snow this week and became scientists, finding ways of melting ice and snow. We also had a great time mark making in the snow and making snow balls to aim at the fence.
