Make A CEOP Report

Another busy week in nursery!

On Monday we introduced our new friends to the wider classroom by having a fabulous music and movement session in our school hall. Once again, it was wonderful to see our ‘original’ pupils set such a good example. For maths this week, we focussed on spatial awareness. We experimented with Numicon pieces, moving and rotating them to fit onto peg boards. During our pre reading session we looked at and discussed how to handle books correctly and respectively. We also talked about the different features of books like; the author, illustrator, title, spine, front cover and blurb. For PSHE we worked on resilience and talked about that if we can’t do something straight away we just keep on trying. A lot of our new children peeled an orange for the first time and it was a pleasure to observe how proud they were of themselves. Our new children have also made us proud being a special helper for the first time and doing a fabulous job! During our Friday outdoor session we searched our school grounds for compostable materials. We collected some leaves and some grass cuttings which we transferred to our compost bin. Some of us washed the baskets afterwards too.
