Today in Maths we have been considering how we would spend our hard earned money! The children worked in groups to decide what would be a ‘want’ and what would be a ‘need’.
Then the children were given a budget of £1.50. They had to buy items for a packed lunch for a child who was going on a school visit.
They used column addition to work out the total and then were able to work out how much was left.
