This term, Year 5 have been hard at work on their ‘Crank it up challenge’. We began by thinking about the criteria and brief of the crane. We then got to grips with the K’nex pieces. As a class, we got together and planned our designs. Then the hardwork began. We had to work as a team to solve multiple problems along the way, evaluating at every step to make sure it worked effectively.
On Tuesday, we had our visit to the Beamish to test it out. We can proudly say both classes passed the brief with flying colours! Whilst we were there, we had a go at Morse code and rocket building. It was a wet, but fun day!!
