We have continued to focus on following our nursery routine and getting to know each other this week. We read the story, Picasso’s Trousers and talked about how we are all artists like Picasso. We have now all completed self portrait paintings which look fantastic displayed in nursery. We talked about our class charter this week and applied a handprint onto it to symbolise working together, having kind hands and treating each other with kindness. We ventured into our school hall for the first time as a new group this week and participated in some action songs. We worked on our resilience and showed determination as we took off and put on our socks and shoes. During our outdoor Friday we ventured up to our ‘top field’ and discovered some ripe apples, raspberries and blackberries that we brought back to nursery to eat at snack time. We also explored our school grounds which involved, walking up lots of steps, walking over the ‘trip trap bridge’, up the ‘curly whirly’ ramp and across all of our different yards. We were all really tired afterwards!
