At Windy Nook, we know that one of the most important tools to help us learn is our growth mindset. This week, Key Stages One and Two took part in activities to remind us how to use our growth mindset to help us succeed.
Fist we had an assembly where we heard the story ‘After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again’. We thought about how Humpty Dumpty used his growth mindset to keep trying, even when he was finding things very difficult.
Then, we worked together with other classes to try to follow a tutorial to make a paper aeroplane, just like Humpty Dumpty did in the story. Although we didn’t always get it right first time, we persevered and used our growth mindset to overcome the challenges. Then, we all got together and flew our planes.
Finally, we went back to our classes and created a new class motto to remind us to use our growth mindset in all lessons.
We had a great afternoon!
