Our activities this week have linked to Halloween. On Monday, we made black playdough and added silver sparkles. We created some wonderful Halloween themed items like; spiders, slugs, worms, bats and creatures with multiple eyes! We have worked on strengthening our hand and writs as well as our hand eye coordination by hammering some golf tees in pumpkins. We sang Five Little Pumpkins and also shared Five Little Pumpkins story. Some of us made our own pumpkin books with page numbers. We painted pictures and drew pictures of pumpkins. We used ten frames and Halloween themed sequins to help us count. We created pumpkin pictures on the interactive white board. We also made pumpkin soup which most of us thought was delicious! During our outdoor Friday session, we made potions in cauldrons with orange goo, mixed red and yellow paint together to make some enormous pumpkins on the ground and we mixed red and yellow water in the water trays. We had a marvellously messy time!
