This week, children have been learning all about the dangers of the road and how to stay safe as pedestrians/cyclists. We had some workshops on Road Safety delivered by Tyne and Wear Safety, assemblies with Living Streets to learn about the importance of walking to school and how dangerous parking outside of our school could be hazardous to everyone. After school, we held a parking event where Strider was around to encourage everyone to walk a little more. The police and parking enforcement were also in attendance to encourage our parents and carers to be more mindful about where they parkĀ to ensure the safety of our community. Thank you to everyone who took part and we hope that you will all continue to support us in making the roads outside of our school safer.
