We have had a fantastic week in nursery celebrating Chinese New Year. We have made themed pictures on the interactive white board. We learned that Chinese people believe that red is a lucky colour so we showed off our design technology skills by folding red paper to and attaching cellotape to produce good luck envelopes. We made some red play dough. We loved watching Mrs Ramanandi’s and Miss Byrne’s class performing a dragon dance and also joining in! We painted some Chinese numbers using black paint. We also used all of our senses to prepare and cook some Chinese stir-fry and it was delicious! We participated in more shape hunts both indoors and outdoors and we found even more shapes! We also completed our weekly Squiggle While you Wiggle session.
