Last week the children all took part in this year’s science week. This year the theme of British Science Week was time and the children had lots of fun across school taking part in different live lessons and mini practical investigations, some of which were related to this. KS1 and KS2 also took part in Farm live lessons and spent an hour each, virtually at the farm, working alongside either the farmer or the vet. KS1 helped the farmer feed the baby lambs and thought about what food sheep and other farm animals eat. We also helped fix a tractor and looked at how pumpkins grow on the farm. LKS2 helped the vet give an adult cow a health check and learnt how we can tell a cow is healthy and what how cows are similar and different to humans. They were even lucky enough to watch a cow give birth live to a healthy calf and see five minute old puppies that had just been born! It was a very busy morning on the farm!! The children also took part in practical activities such as UKS2 who explored popping a balloon with a lemon!
