Our topics this half term are Summer and transport so we have shared stories with those themes during snack times. This week we have focussed on counting again in maths which we did through a variety of games both inside and outdoors. We made our own playdough and participated in Squiggle While You Wiggle. We have took care of our seedlings and added some egg shells to the plant pots to try and deter snails and slugs from eating them! We learned the rhyme, Five Little Sunflowers. Thank you to all of the families who regularly remember to complete and send in their child’s News Book. The children look forward to sharing them every Wednesday and it is wonderful to observe their confidence develop each week as they do so. Some of the children used the interactive white board to produce pictures using a paint programme. During our Friday outdoor session we made rotbots by adding cardboard, grass, leaves and compostable waste to clear plastic bottles. We will watch the materials decompose over the next half term and hopefully plant seeds in them before we break up for the summer.
