This week the children in LKS2 have been visited by the Night Gardener! The Gardener left muddy footprints along with chopped leaves and branches on Monday. He also left his scissors with a note saying, “These are for you.” Children were shocked by the mess he left but were great at making predictions about his story. Later in the week, we read the Night Gardener book and we compared our predictions from earlier. We used all this knowledge to begin to collect vocabulary to describe the setting in the book and have now begun to write this into paragraphs. Children have impressed the adults with their amazing sentences and added detail!
