This week we have introduced our new topics for this half term which are Spring and baby animals/mammals. We played a mother and baby animal matching game on the interactive white board and shared some topic based stories during snack time. We are looking forward to finding out more information in the weeks to come. We prepared, cooked and ate pancaked this week and found out about Shrove Tuesday. We also read the story, Mr Wolf’s Pancakes and recited the poem, Mix the Pancake. During our maths sessions this week we used a ‘feely box’ to find out about shape properties. We took it in turn to describe which shape we could feel and we tried to name the shape. On Thursday we participated in World Book Day and enjoyed extra stories wrapped up in cosy blankets. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at each others costumes. During our outdoor Friday session we participated in some pancake races which was great fun! We also accessed our mud kitchen and digging area.
