Make A CEOP Report

Oh how our garden grows!

This half term children in Reception have been exploring fruits and vegetables. We have looked at the difference between fruit and vegetables while reading the books Oliver’s Vegetables and Oliver’s Fruit Salad. We discovered that fruit grows above the ground in trees, vines or shrubs and that vegetables grow under the ground. The children looked at different vegetables and discussed the similarities and differences in their leaves. We then continued to add to our ever growing plants and have planted a selection of vegetables (carrots, onions, lettuce, beetroot,) which we will hopefully eat later in the term and plants we can smell such as lavender and peppermint.
