This week our weekly book was Oliver’s Milkshake by Vivian French. We discussed where milk came from and why Oliver went to a farm to get his milk. We talked about how the farmer got the milk from the cow and really wanted to have a go at milking a cow ourselves! We then played a game to see if we knew what food items were made from milk. After all that talk about milk we decided we needed to make our own milkshakes. We used our recent learning of tally charts to create our own tally chart to see how many children wanted to make either blueberry or strawberry  milkshake. Strawberry was the most popular!
