This week, the children in Lower Key Stage 2 have been learning about how to classify animals by grouping them using shared characteristics. We then looked at how to create classification keys and create appropriate questions for them. The children were then tasked with finding different types of animals within our school grounds and had to use their findings to create their own classification keys. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we all had a fantastic time and the children found lots of different animals to discuss in class.
