We have continued to explore our beach treasure this week. We finished drawing some beach treasure of our choice which has been made into a beautiful display in nursery. We completed beach themed pictures and games on the interactive white board and continued to share beach themed books. We showed off our DT skills while making some Fathers’ Day/Special Person cards. We chose a piece of card and folded it after matching its corners together. We used our thumbs and fingers to print onto the front of the card, arranging the prints to look like a bunch of grapes. We then attached a caption saying, Thanks a bunch! In maths this week we played Fantastic Five which used our subitising skills. We also matched numerals to patterns using subitising skills. We voted on which colour playdough we wanted this week and orange had the most votes so we added orange food colouring to the ingredients as we made the playdough. We learned the song Five Little Sunflowers. During our outdoor Friday session we re-potted our sunflower seedlings into bigger plant pots.
