Science Week in Nursery

We have had a great time being scientists this week. We all experienced going inside of a dome which was situated in our school hall. The dome had a projector inside and showed projected stars and constellations, planets and astronauts on the moon. We also took part in colour mixing experiments, made chemical reactions, experimented with bubbles and built a variation of ramps for vehicles. We watched a brilliant presentation in the hall also about chemical reactions and practical demonstrations about physics. We have introduced a ‘feely’ box to our investigation station and took it in tern to place an item of beach treasure into it and describe it  using some fantastic language to guess what was in the box. We had our outdoor day on Thursday this week instead of Friday and made the most of the sunny weather. To continue our scientific theme we observed the fruit trees and bushed within our school grounds and discovered that most of the blossom has dropped off and apples, pears and raspberries have started to grow.
