We have participated in some fun maths sessions this week for the last week of term. We compared our heights to our sunflowers and decided which ones were taller, shorter or equal. .We talked about all of the jobs we do in nursery like being a waiter and cleaner (during snack time), gardener and scientist to name a few. We discussed the fact that adults receive money for having a job and are able to buy things as a result. By completing jobs in nursery all of the children have earned 5p to purchase an ice cream. We voted for our favourite ice cream flavour and the top three flavours were raspberry ripple, chocolate and Neapolitan. We had to read the price of the ice cream and cone and count out the appropriate amount of money. We ate our well earned ice creams while sitting around the outdoor sand pit and used our imaginations to pretend we were at the beach! We also used our imaginations to pretend we were paddling in the sea by cooling our feet in some trays filled with water! We have had a super week!
