What a fantastic time our Year 6s had on the residential at Newby Wiske this year! We are grateful to PGL and Mrs Gerry for working so hard to come to our rescue when Kingswood unfortunately closed down and thankfully our new residential location, Newby Wiske, turned out to be an amazing alternative. The children really pushed themselves to take part in a range of daring activities: zip wire, climbing, vertical challenge and raft building. They also had a chance to learn new skills in archery, orienteering and survivor. Each night the children had great fun in challenges such as ‘passport to the world’ and enjoyed a crazy silent disco! They ate well and had fun spending time with their friends in the cosy accommodation at night. All in all, they had a residential they’ll never forget and it was a great way to mark the end of their time at Windy Nook. Well done Year 6!
