Reception children have been busy exploring their creativity in the craft area this week. They’ve been learning how to use a variety of tools and materials, including scissors, glue sticks, tape dispensers, hole punchers, and different types of paper and fabric.
Children practised skills such as cutting, sticking, folding, threading, and joining materials in imaginative ways. They experimented with collage, junk modelling, and simple construction, combining colours, textures, and shapes to bring their ideas to life.
Adults supported children in planning their creations, talking through their ideas, and reflecting on what worked well. The craft area has become a space for problem-solving, self-expression, and growing independence.
