This half term our KS1 children have been busy going on dance adventures! They’ve pretended to be explorers heading off on exciting journeys — packing their bags, travelling through new places, discovering surprises and even meeting jungle animals along the way.
The children have:
- Used their imaginations to create big, expressive movements.
- Made short dance sequences that show exploring, reacting and discovering.
- Worked with partners to move together in unison and canon (taking turns to move).
- Experimented with levels, speed and facial expressions to bring their stories to life.

The children have had lots of fun being creative, active and brave with their ideas — and we’ve loved watching their confidence grow each week!
