Another wonderful World Book Day was had by all at Windy Nook Primary!
We’ve had live, interactive lessons, virtual author visits, book-themed crafting and artwork, story time, book talk and so much more! One particular highlight was how we “dressed up” – because, this year, we dressed our doors and reading areas! Making an inviting, inspiring space for reading is one of the aims of National Year of Reading 2026; Windy Nook’s children took ownership of this today and revamped their classrooms in super, book-themed decoration!
It’s been an absolute joy to see children enjoy book – talking about reading, sharing their favourite books and authors, coming to the Book Fair, and, once again, being gifted TWO brand new books by Mr Atkinson from WH Smith. We thank hime once again for his amazing generosity!
