Robins and Owls 24.06.20 Home Learning

Good morning, we hope you are well and safe. Today’s learning tasks are as follows:

Phonics
Phonics play – Tricky word Trucks. Practise some high frequency words. Select all tricky words and see how many you can get. Try and practise writing these words in your book.

Phonics play – Buried treasure. Phase 5 sounds. Click on ‘i-e’ and practise reading words with this sound – decide if they are real or fake. Record them in your book! See how many you get right

Log on to Oxford Owl and continue reading chosen book.

English
Today you are going to continue writing your non-chronological report. You will be writing the next section about ‘Kangaroo’s’’. Look back at the information you gathered last week and use this to help you build your sentences. Miss a line underneath the writing you completed yesterday and write the subheading ‘Kangaroo’. Once you have completed your writing, you can draw a small picture.

Don’t forget:

  • Capital letters, finger spaces, full stops.
  • Adjectives
  • Exclamation marks
  • Key vocabulary
