This week in Computing, KS1 have been busy becoming brilliant young programmers using our Beebots!
The children worked with the Beebot mats. Their challenge was to programme the Beebot to travel from one image to another by planning the route carefully. First, the class created their own sets of instructions using arrow symbols to show each move. Then they tested these instructions using the Beebots to see if their code worked.

We also looked at instructions created by someone else and had to decide whether they were correct. If the Beebot didn’t end up where it was supposed to, the children discussed what had gone wrong and how they could improve or change the instructions to make them accurate.
KS1 showed fantastic problem‑solving skills, teamwork, and perseverance. We were so proud of how confidently they debugged their algorithms and helped each other refine their ideas.
