In Years 3 and 4, children have been putting their oracy skills to great use. As part of our art topic, they have been discussing portraits and using speaking and listening to assist them in drawing their own portraits. In writing, children have used ‘zones of relevance’ diagrams to hone their vocabulary choices in order to talk descriptively on different subject matters – using tier-2 vocabulary.
