This week we have been luckily enough to do some maths outside. We started off the week by looking at different amounts of water in cups to see which had the least and most. We then moved on to looking at empty, nearly empty, half full, half empty, nearly half full, nearly full and full. The children worked in groups to reading the statements and then pouring that amount of volume into a cup. After that we used non-standard measure (cups) to fill the capacity of different containers. And finally we ended the week estimating the capacity of different containers using ml’s.
